OEM Software

Nowadays, top financial software is offered in online stores all over the web at unbelievably cheap prices, and in most cases it is OEM versions of the software that you'll be getting. That said, Original Equipment Manufacturer products, or, simply put, OEMs are becoming more and more common.

While there still are many disputes as to legality of these offers, generally, there should be no actual difference in products, no matter if they're sold as OEM or in retail stores. It is the accompanying stuff that you are getting with the retail product, including packaging and instruction guides, that makes the difference, so if this doesn't bother you, it's probably better to opt for the cheaper OEM version.

In other words, your OEM software can work perfectly well for you, let alone it can save you a buck.

The only precaution: be realistic, and try to get all the info about the service beforehand to make sure the offer is as good as it seems.
